García-Munté Energía will reduce the Carbon Footprint with its new photovoltaic solar plant
Moving forward with our environmental commitment, GME now has approval from the authorities for the construction of a photovoltaic solar electricity generation plant valued at more than 605,500 euros.
The facility will have 2,044 state-of-the-art modules, generating 1,670MWh/year, which is equivalent to 30% of the energy consumption of the pellet production plant.
Our commitment to clean energy will prevent the emission into the atmosphere of some 171.7 tons of CO2 per year, thus achieving, if possible, an even more sustainable top-level pellet, within the ENPlus A1 marking.
The facility is expected to be operational by mid-2024, occupying a total area of 4758m2.
